Workshop Description

Resonant Realms I: The Acoustic Soundscape is a two-day immersive training in Creative Soundscaping, designed for sound practitioners who wish to expand their creative vocabulary and deepen their understanding of acoustic immersion.


Working with Himalayan bowls, Gongs, Flumies, Waterphones, bells, chimes, and overtone-rich instruments, participants will explore advanced playing techniques, uncover hidden sonic possibilities, and discover how different sounds can be woven into meaningful and engaging sound journeys.

  • Discover previously unknown techniques for Himalayan bowls, gongs, Flumies, and Waterphones

  • Explore acousmatic listening and the psychology of sound beyond its visible source

  • Learn where different sounds and techniques belong within a sound journey

  • Understand how pacing, contrast, and frequency shape listener experience

  • Develop greater confidence in creating immersive acoustic soundscapes

Sound bath practitioners, sound meditation facilitators, gong practitioners, singing bowl practitioners, musicians, improvisers, therapists, wellbeing practitioners, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of immersive acoustic soundscapes.


Programme Theme

Day One: Discovering New Sounds – Expand your creative vocabulary through advanced techniques, acousmatic listening, and instrument exploration.

Day Two: Shaping the Journey – Learn how to organise sounds, textures, and techniques into coherent and meaningful acoustic experiences.


You will be welcomed into a supportive community of like-minded individuals where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed, and growth unfolds through shared discovery. Whether your intention is to enhance your existing sound practice, develop new skills for facilitating Sound

Journeys, or simply explore the world of acoustic sound more deeply, Resonant Realms offers a nurturing environment in which to learn, play, and evolve.


Limited to just 4 participants, this workshop takes place in our studio in Machynlleth on the Southern tip of the Snowdonia National Park, mid-Wales.

We take immense pride in creating experiences that nurture creativity, learning, connection, and inner stillness. We look forward to welcoming you into a space where sound becomes both teacher and companion, where confidence grows through exploration, where friendships are forged through shared experience, and where new possibilities emerge with every vibration. Please note: Accommodation is not included, so early booking of local B&Bs is recommended.accommodation as soon as possible for this event as we are located in a holiday destination area.


PAYMENT:

To reserve your space, please click the Book Now button below. A £195 non-refundable deposit is required upon booking, which can be done by selecting the manual payment option during the booking process. The balance is due 14 days before the event.
