Time and space to find the right instrument. A visit to Silence In Sound is a quiet, personal opportunity to explore our collection of Himalayan Singing Bowls, Original Singing Gongs and other carefully selected resonant instruments. Visits are by appointment for individuals, couples or small groups. You will have up to two hours to listen, compare and experience each instrument without interruption or pressure. Your journey to us is genuinely appreciated, and we want your visit to feel worthwhile from the moment you arrive. A warm, personal welcome Craig and Jacquie will welcome you and take time to understand what you are looking for. You may be choosing your first bowl, adding to an existing collection or simply exploring what is available. No previous experience is needed, and there is no need to arrive with a fixed decision. The visit develops at your pace. Explore in your own time Our studio holds more than 200 individually selected Himalayan Singing Bowls, including antique and contemporary examples with a wide range of tonal qualities. You may also explore Original Singing Gongs, bells, cymbals and other resonant instruments. You will be encouraged to play the instruments for yourself and discover how they respond to you. No pressure to purchase There is no expectation that you will buy an instrument during your visit. Sometimes the right bowl or gong is immediately apparent. At other times, the visit simply gives you a clearer understanding of what you need. We would rather you leave without an instrument than choose one that is not right for you. Your visit Studio visits are complimentary, last for up to two hours and are available by prior appointment only. Please avoid strongly scented perfume or oils, and remove rings, watches and bracelets before handling instruments. Studio visits are intended for instrument exploration and selection rather than formal tuition. One-to-one mentoring and Creative Sound Workshops are available separately. Make the journey part of the experience Silence In Sound is in Machynlleth, Mid Wales, surrounded by mountains, open landscapes and the coast. Many visitors make the journey part of a longer day or short stay. However far you travel, a warm welcome awaits. Come with time to listen. Leave with a clearer sense of what resonates with you.
