Into The Darkness – A 7-Day Sound Immersion and Retreat is an intimate and transformative exploration of sound, silence, movement, storytelling, and immersive workshops — created primarily for experienced sound workers, facilitators, and practitioners seeking to deepen their craft, expand their creative vocabulary, and reconnect with the profound intelligence of sound itself.

This is not a conventional retreat. It is a carefully held space for thoughtful minds, open hearts, and those drawn to the earthy depths of sonic creation. Expect the unexpected as we descend into rich textures of vibration, reflection, ritual, experimentation, and rest — exploring not only how sound is created, but how it is felt, embodied, and remembered.

Limited to just 14 guests, this unique retreat unfolds within the atmospheric surroundings of Ty Capel — a stunning converted Gothic chapel nestled in the seaside town of Tywyn, in the heart of Mid Wales. A harmonious meeting of contemporary design and timeless spirit, the chapel’s original features — including its striking gallery and soaring ceilings — remain beautifully preserved, lending a profound sense of presence and reverence to the space.

Throughout the seven days, guests will be nourished with exceptional vegan cuisine, freshly prepared and thoughtfully presented by Anastasia Eden of Kind Earth (www.kindearth.net), with refreshments available throughout your stay.

Accommodation is luxurious and deeply restful, with most rooms offering ensuite facilities. In addition to Ty Capel, we have secured further single and double accommodation within the venue’s beautifully designed beachfront house, located just a seven-minute walk from the chapel along the seafront.

Room options include twin, double, and limited single occupancy (single supplement applies). Due to the intimate nature of the retreat, availability is extremely limited and early booking is essential.

Ty Capel is located just minutes from the train station, with direct rail links to and from Birmingham, Shrewsbury, and Wolverhampton. The beach lies a short walk away, while forests, lakes, and the rolling landscapes of Mid Wales wait quietly beyond.
