This Jhākri (Nepal Shaman) Basket is from the Tamang Tribe in Nepal.  It is made of willow and very robust, . You can see  it has been used and has some signs of wear as you would expect from an item over 70 years old. At some point the original strap has been replaced with a makeshift strap as so often seen in the Himalayas
Approximate Sizes: 16” tall x 10” deep (at widest point in middle) 15” wide, this then tapers down at the base to 4”deep x 12” wide
