As the brightness of Summer subsides and is replaced by the restorative energy of Winter, we invite you to join in our transformative but restful weekend retreat of creative Sound Journeys, Workshops, Movement, Story-telling and much more. Join us, Craig & Jacquie Shankster of Silence In Sound for a three-day in-person sound experience, exploring Gongs and Himalayan Singing Bowls and more within the framework of compositional skills.

Infused with practical and experiential information to elevate your skill set, this three day retreat will inspire creativity, openness, good listening, deepen confidence, presence, new techniques, and both improvisational & compositional skills... to meet the creative needs of the modern Sound Worker.

WHERE?

Limited to just 14 people our Into The Darkness - Sound Immersion & Retreat is held at the stunning converted Gothic Chapel, Ty Capel (www.SunsetbayRetreats.com), a harmonious blend of contemporary design and timeless charm. The conversion preserved the property’s rich heritage, showcasing stunning original features like the galley and captivating feature ceilings. Ty Capel is located in the seaside town of Tywyn on the Southern tip of the Snowdonia National Park, mid Wales. 

Our Into The Darkness - Sound Immersion & Retreat offers full-board accommodation with amazing vegan food freshly prepared and presented by Anastasia Eden of Kind Earth (www.kindearth.net); refreshments are also served throughout the weekend. 

Accommodation is luxurious and ensuite in most cases. In addition to Ty Capel , we have also secured additional single/double accommodation at the venues designer beach house located on the seafront and only a seven minute walk away from the Chapel.

Ticket options include: Double, Twin and Single room (with supplement) occupancy, however availability of each room type is very limited so early booking is absolutely essential. a £150 deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your place, The balance is due by 1st September 2025.

Ty Capel is located minutes from the train station and the mainline to/from Birmingham, Shrewsbury & Wolverhampton. The venue is also a short walk to the beach and a short bike ride to forests, lakes and gorgeous rolling hills.
